How to use Carrier oils for your skin health ?

What's a carrier oil ? by Dr.Benjamin Patrick (phD.Hom.)

“Carrier Oil” is a term generally used in the contexts of aromatherapy and cosmetic recipes for natural skin and hair care. Carrier oils and essential oils are made from plants. Carrier oils are used to dilute essential oils and “carry” them to your skin. Depending on which fatty acids a carrier oil contains, different carrier oils have unique benefits for the skin. The reason carrier oils are important in aromatherapy and when creating skin care is because they provide a buffer between the skin. A carrier oil can be used to create a physical separation so that the essential oil has less direct contact with the keratinocytes, or skin cells, creating less of an adverse reaction.

Jojoba oil It’s great for use on oily skin. It’s easily absorbed into your hair and skin and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. I really love this oil in summer because it’s lighter in feel than some of the other carrier oils available. Shelf life: Unlimited. Jojoba keeps indefinitely.

Almond oil is great for dry skin. It brings with it loads of vitamins including Vitamin E which rocks for moisturizing and nourishing skin for a healthy glow. Almond oil is amazing for dry or itchy skin since it packs amazing soothing qualities. As an added bonus, almond oil is a deep conditioner for dry hair. Sweet Almond Oil has a high percentage of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which makes it work wonderfully for all types of skin. Apply it liberally if you suffer from itchy, dry or inflamed skin. Shelf life: Almond oil stores reasonably well. I wouldn’t go more than a year though.

Virgin coconut oil and fractionated coconut oil. The virgin coconut oil is solid at room temperature. We use it in our kitchen for cooking but also in recipes for rubs and foot scrubs. Fractionated coconut oil is liquid and super for full-body massages. Fractionated coconut oil has no odor and so it’s a favorite for diluting oils for rollerball perfume recipes. Shelf life: Indefinite

Grapeseed oil goes on silky and smooth. It absorbs quickly into the skin. Because it has a slight wine smell, I like it for diluting very strong-smelling oils like Thieves and basil. Make sure to find a variety that is cold-pressed.

Sesame oil is rich in essential fatty acids and helps to maintain the integrity of skin tissue while restructuring and moisturizing the skin. Its potent antioxidants are beneficial for reversing skin aging, increasing skin glow, strengthening conditioning, and moisturizing skin and hair. Warning: If you have any kind of nut allergies, do not use sesame seed carrier oil.

Shelf life: 2 years
Skin types: All skin types

Avocado oil is quite thick and heavy, though not overly greasy. Use avocado oil if you’re treating dry skin or wrinkles. It contains a high amount of vitamins and is a good source of fatty acids, which helps it get absorbed into the skin easily. Avocado oil is great to use in a carrier oil blend as it does have strong skin-soothing properties, but on its own, the scent is too overwhelming. Shelf life: 1 year.
Skin types: For dry, sensitive, and mature skin

Argan oil is really nice to use on your face as it has restorative qualities for your skin cells. It helps with skin elasticity, softens wrinkles and fine lines, and restores nutrient content to skin cells treating an array of skin conditions. It is very gentle, yet effective. Shelf life: Around 2+ years
Skin types: For dry, sensitive, and mature skin

Rosehip oil – also known as rosehip seed oil. It is rich in Vitamin C and essential fatty acids, and protects the skin by increasing cell turnover. This aids the cells in your skin to re-generate, which is why some say rosehip oil contains anti-aging benefits. It is excellent for facial wrinkles, tissue regeneration, UV damage, burns or scars. The anti-aging benefits of rosehip oil come due to its chemical structure. Rosehip oil contains many polyunsaturated fatty acids, and when absorbed through the skin, these fatty acids convert to prostaglandins, which are involved in cellular membrane and tissue regeneration. Shelf life: 6 months, then it’ll start smelling rancid or ‘off’.
Skin types: For mature skin

Macadamia nut oil is a fantastic choice for a carrier as it contains up to 23% palmitoleic acid, which is rarely found in any other vegetable oils at such high levels. Palmitoleic acid is a common constituent of the human tissue, particularly the skin of infants, children, and teenagers, which has a natural youth, glow, and elasticity to it. Naturally, these youth-like properties are desirable in any skincare, but particularly when treating aged or dry skin.Given the high content of essential fatty acids, macadamia nut oil has restructuring properties, strengthening the skin’s lipidic barrier and thus improving skin moisturization.
If you’re considering Macadamia nut oil as an essential oil carrier oil, make sure you buy a cold-pressed variety. All carrier oils should be cold-pressed for aromatherapy purposes. You can keep Macadamia nut oil in the fridge to extend its shelf life. If you have nut allergies, you, unfortunately, have to stay away from macadamia nut carrier oil, too.

Shelf life: 2 years in the pantry, 2-3 years if kept in the fridge.
Skin types: All skin types

Evening Primrose oil is invaluable for Aromatherapists. It contains a high concentration of Linoleic acid and a small percentage of Gamma-Linoleic acid (fatty acids).Used externally, Evening Primrose is healing to eczema, prematurely aging skin, dry or scaly skin, dandruff, and small scrapes or bruising. Evening Primrose helps minimize wrinkles, dark circles around the eyes, and tired-looking eyes. Its rejuvenating properties improve firmness and skin elasticity. Evening Primrose carrier oil is a pale yellow to golden yellow liquid that is typically cold pressed from plant seeds and also refined to remove some of the stronger scent notes. After application, the skin will have a pretty oily feel to it, so it is best blended into another carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil. It’s recommended to keep cold pressed carrier oils in a dark, cool place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If you keep your Evening Primrose oil refrigerated, bring it up to room temperature before using, otherwise, it’ll be pretty uncomfortable during massage.Per the study, GLA is necessary for ideal skin structure and function. Because the skin can’t produce GLA on its own, researchers believe taking GLA-rich EPO helps keep skin healthy overall.

Shelf life: 2 years
Skin types: For irritated skin

Essential oils ~ how to use the right essential oils for babies ?

Below is a list of some of the most popular EOs which you can be sure are safe for babies, children and pregnant women:

  1. Cedarwood Atlas - Cedrus Atlantica
  2. Eucalyptus, Broad-leaved
  3. peppermint/Peppermint Gum - Eucalyptus dives var Pipertone
  4. Frankincense- Boswellia carteri
  5. Geranium- Pelargonium graveolans
  6. Lavender - Lavandula angustifolia
  7. Lemon- Citrus limon
  8. Mandarin- Citrus reticulata
  9. Sweet Orange- Citrus sinensis
  10. Patchouli - Pogostemon cablin
  11. Tea Tree- Melaleuca alternifolia

Do’s and Don’ts When Using Essential Oils on Children

  • Don’t use undiluted oils directly on skin. Oils in their full form can be harmful if applied directly to the skin. Safe dilutions for children generally range from 0.5-2.5% depending on the condition and the age/weight of the child. Oils can be added to carrier oils, distilled water and lotions.
  • Don’t add undiluted oils to bath water. Since oil and water don’t mix, the concentrated form could irritate the skin.
  • Don’t swallow oils. Essential oils are highly concentrated oils that can be toxic if swallowed.
  • Don’t overuse oils. Be mindful of how often and how much you use on your child. For example, don’t use a lotion that contains lavender and then apply an essential oil.
  • Don’t use peppermint oil on children less than 30 months old. Peppermint used on children under 30 months of age can increase a risk for seizures.
  • Don’t use oils near a heat source. Using essential oils near heat source can cause a fire.
  • Don’t use essential oils near the eyes, ears and nose.
  • Do buy oils from a reliable source. “Check the source of the essential oils to avoid oils that might contain contaminants,Look for credible companies that list the scientific name of the oil, source of the oil and who also list a contact number to answer any questions you might have.”
  • Do avoid sunlight for some essential oils. Always check the caution remarks for each essential oil you use.
  • Do store oils in a cool dry place. Store oils in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
  • Do apply a patch test first. Before using an oil on your child’s skin, apply on a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to see if there is an adverse reaction before using again.
  • Do consult an expert. If you have any questions about how to use an oil or the dilution ratios to use on your child, consult an expert before use.

Safety guidelines for children regarding dillution of essential oils:

  • Peppermint shouldn’t be topically applied to or diffused around children under the age of 6 years.
  • Eucalyptus shouldn’t be topically applied to or diffused around children under the age of 10 years.
  • The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) recommends diluting the essential oil to just 0.5 to 2.5 percent.

When diffusing oils, use these safety precautions:

  • Follow proper dilution guidelines.
  • Make sure you diffuse in a well-ventilated area.
  • Diffuse intermittently, typically 30 to 60 minutes on, then 30 to 60 minutes off.
  • People should not use essential oils on or around babies who are younger than 3 months.

One of the gentlest and yet most effective ways to treat various common ailments involves allowing the molecules of essential oil is to evaporate and circulate throughout the baby’s room. But because the amount of essential oilrequired for newborns is so tiny, the only method that gives you complete control over how much essential oil is using a humidifier in the  baby’s room or simple bowl of steaming water.

How to mix your oils to make a blemd to diffuse in a humidifier

First, add 1 drop of essential oil to 2 teaspoons of water and mix well. From this mix,
take a ½ teaspoon and drop it into a bowl of steaming water or humidifier, placed on the floor
in a corner of the room, away from baby’s head. This is a tiny amount of essential oil a quarter of a drop and not all of it will be evaporated into the room because the water will go cold before that happens. Clearly, keep other children and pets away from the bowl, to avoid any accidents. But besides bringing back the lost moisture in the air, the humidifier itself can even act as a white noise machine. The majority of the units in the market are fitting for night time use. That’s because even if your baby is a light sleeper, the slow, soothing hum of the humidifier will not cause a distraction. In fact, this sound would rather drown out external noises necessary for a peaceful slumber. As backed up by this study, white noise would even make it easier for your little one to fall asleep.

If the baby is suffering from any kind of digestive problem colic, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, or regurgitation  coriander seed essential oil is very helpful. Use in the room method just outlined.
If your baby isn’t sleeping well, use lavender or chamomile roman. To freshen the air and make it smell delightful, while baby is not in the room use lavender, sweet orange, or mandarin essential oil for their antibiotic, antiseptic, disinfectant, and slightly antiviral properties.

Always keep rooms ventilated for fresh air .Never congest a room with oils or aerosols. Our lungs need fresh air that is sanitized naturally with natural oils.Essential Oils resonate with human tissue to create the perfect healing balance .

Even with the tiny quantity of essential oil recommended, the aroma will be lovely and infinitely better for your baby than any chemical air fresheners  which should definitely be avoided in a baby’s room.Humidifiers, as long as they are cleaned diligently and kept at the recommended level, can make the air healthier and warmer (for warm mist models.) for your baby.Of course, at the end of the day, a humidifier is not going to replace all the remedies for your little one. We advise that you talk with your baby’s pediatrician, and use a humidifier with care as a preventative measure.

* People should not use essential oils on or around babies who are younger than 3 months.

He is a well sought after speaker for Holistic healthcare for global audiences worldwide especialy in the field of bioenergetic sciences.

Here are some tips for blends that you may use for other problems

TEETHING DIFFUSE BLEND ESSENTIAL OILS

Chamomile roman (Anthemis nobilis) 2 drops
Chamomile german (Matricaria recutita) 3 drops
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) 2 drops
Blend together and use 2 drops for each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil and diffuse 2 drops in 300 ml water

CHILDREN’S CONSTIPATION DIFFUSER OIL BLEND

Geranium 4 drops
Patchouli 6 drops
Mandarin 15 drops
Blend together and use 2 drops for each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil and diffuse 2 drops in 300 ml water

CHILDREN’S DIARRHEA DIFFUSER BODY OIL BLEND
Ginger 5 drops
Sandalwood 8 drops
Chamomile roman 8 drops
Blend together and use 2 drops for each teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oiland use a small amount
each time in your humidifier.

CHILDHOOD ASTHMA DIFFUSER BLEND FOR 2 TO 7 YEARS

Lavender 2 drops
Geranium 2 drops
Frankincense 2 drops

Dilute the blend in 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of carrier oil and use a small amount
each time in your humidifier.

Did you know that you should use distilled water in your humidifier?

The reason for this is because certain areas have hard water in their tap. Hard water has a higher mineral content, which will eventually cause mineral deposits and limescale in the reservoir. These deposits are tricky to remove and can even affect your unit’s functionality in the long run.Using hard water with ultrasonic humidifiers can also cause white dust around the humidifier’s proximity as a by-product. If you have a baby, the last thing you’d want to do is busy yourself with constantly wiping every surface.

Vibrational healing how does it impact us?

🤷🏻‍♀️When was the last time you listened to music, or a podcast, or white noise, or binaural beats,?or any other form of sounds? When was the last time you gave any thought whatsoever to the wavelength frequency of the sound being blasted into your ears? 🎧

💪At the gym,or on a romantic night in with the lights turned down and a delicious meal on the table, we have this strange habit of turning on certain sounds from various sources that vibrate the air around and randomly hit your eardrums which stimulates specific neural activity in such a way as to effect a change in mood, focus or emotion.🎧Music innervates daily life, and just as emotional health is critical to your humanity, music, sound, and vibration are tied up in your overall wellbeing.

Nevertheless, sound doesn’t even need to be structured to elicit an emotional and physiological response. Think back to the last time you were sitting quietly minding your own business, focusing on some project, and out of nowhere the air is split by the sound of a glass or plate clattering on the ground. You snap to attention, briefly entering fight-or-flight fear mode.

The gut reaction to jump and become afraid at a loud noise is deeply woven into human genetics. Loud noises elicit a fear response, including increased blood pressure and pulse rate, in order to keep you alive. And that type of fight-or-flight, sympathetic nervous system reaction initiates the release of the chemical norepinephrine, which shuts down immune functions like viral defense and ramps up the production of specialized white blood cells called monocytes. These monocytes, while extremely effective in inhibiting infection, are by nature pro-inflammatory.

So if you’re constantly exposed to loud noises or sounds that cause a similar reaction to a nonstick pan colliding with tile, or louder, you may be allowing minor inflammation, the bane of longevity and physical health, to rise and rule largely unchecked. However, if you expose yourself to sounds that are more wholesome, you can reduce the damaging effects of other sounds, and even heal yourself of a myriad of diseases and decrease the prevalence of harmful mental states and degenerative physiological conditions.

That’s the basis of sound healing. Sound healing is the practice of using audio tones and vibrational frequencies to repair damaged tissues and cells within the body. It works on the idea that all matter is vibrating at specific frequencies, and sickness, disease, depression, and stress cause human beings to vibrate at a lower frequency. Playing tones that promote healing, happiness, and vitality will allow DNA strands to repair themselves.

Sound has been used as a healing tool for centuries and is still regularly utilized by many alternative health care centers and cultures with rich ancestral traditions. Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, drumming therapy, and even chanting are all used in sound therapy, and many participants experience strong emotions during therapy sessions. Advocates of sound healing claim that it has the power to heal mental illness, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, and can even shrink cancerous tumors.

Sound healing is a form of energy medicine, which refers to two kinds of energy fields: veritable energy fields (measurable), and putative energy fields (can’t be measured with current technology). Veritable energy fields include things like vibrational energy from sound, and electromagnetic forces such as visible light, magnetism, and monochromatic radiation such as lasers.

There are well and established uses for measurable energy fields in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), laser eye correction surgery, cardiac pacemakers, radiation therapy and UV light therapy, just to name a few. There are even a few less well-known therapies based on veritable energy, such as magnetic therapy for pain relief, and, as you’re about to discover, sound energy/vibrational therapy.

🎧Sound Waves, Brainwaves, and Cellular Waves

There are three things you should familiarize yourself with: sound itself, and how it works, the electromagnetic rhythms of your brain, and the vibrational energy of your cells.

🎧Sound is vibration, or waves of air molecules oscillating as a result of the rapid, back-and-forth movement of an object. And if you'd like a crisp scientific definition:

🎧“Sound waves are produced by a vibrating body, be it an oboe reed, guitar string, loudspeaker cone or jet engine. The vibrating sound source causes a disturbance to the surrounding air molecules, causing them to bounce off each other with a force proportional to the disturbance. The energy of their interaction creates ripples of more dense (higher pressure) to less dense (lower pressure) air molecules, with pressures above and below the normal atmospheric pressure. When the molecules are pushed closer together it is called compression; when they have pulled apart, it is called rarefaction. The back and forth oscillation of pressure produces a sound wave.”

A vibrating object, whether a guitar string or your own vocal cord, causes the air surrounding it to also vibrate. These sound waves hit your eardrums, making them vibrate, and that in turn causes waves in the fluid of your inner ear. Those waves are detected by various auditory nerves that relay the information to your brain to let you hear. Hearing, the detection of sound, isn’t detached from the physical world – it’s a physical effect, resulting from a physical cause. So it shouldn’t seem all that weird that certain frequencies of vibrating air impact your physiology and mental state.  #drbenjaminpatrick #chadashalifecare #homeopathy #digitalimprinting #bioresonancetherapy #ultrasoundtech #sensitiveaudit #sensitiveauditcheckup.

What is PEMFT ?

Every organ of the body has its own individual resonant frequency, much like the note of a tuning fork used to tune an instrument.

All bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi also have their own frequency symphonies.

Bioresonance machines have a combination of PEMFT and other Bioregulation programs BRT that helps by stimulating the body's own healing energy, rather like a tuning fork that sets disharmonious chords back on track. Digital Homeopathy and naturopathy signals are selected through a impedence etalon match and use coherently to stimulate an appropriate cell response to healing.

To keep us healthy the body regulates itself through the exchange of information between the various cells in the body.

But when our bodies become out of tune for a wide variety of reasons - environmental and lifestyle factors including pollution, stress, a sedentary lifestyle, an unhealthy diet, alcohol, and drug abuse - pathogenic frequencies interrupt the communication systems, resulting in illness, fatigue, poor performance, and other symptoms.

By matching pathogenic frequencies in a patient, the computer identifies and separates out the unhealthy frequency patterns that may be causing the symptoms.

The machine is then set to strengthen healthy frequencies and invert the unhealthy waves. Inverting the pathogenic frequencies cancels out the harmful waves, reducing stress on the patient’s body.

PEMFT Improving sleep

PEMF therapy stimulates the pituitary gland to produce melatonin and the human growth hormone (HGH).

HGH helps with cell reproduction and regeneration (hence the name) and melatonin is a key hormone in promoting healthy sleep and anti-aging.

The natural way in which pulsed electromagnetic fields aid production of these important hormones is preferable to the synthetic versions of these hormones available in most health shops.

Help with neurological disorders

PEMF stimulates neurons and brain cells to regenerate and return to normal function. This makes it of interest to those treating diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and phobias.

It can also be of use after stroke or other brain injuries for the same reason.

Other health benefits of PEMF therapy

While the main health benefits of PEMFs are covered above, we should also recognize their use in:

  • Improving clotting factors
  • Retarding the development of arthritis
  • Stimulating the immune system
  • Reducing blood pressure
  • Helping nerve function
  • Aiding liver function
  • Adding flexibility to soft tissue
